I’ve been practicing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (gi training) and submission grappling for many years.
It all started at City Boxing in San Diego, California. At the time Abu Dhabi Champion Dean Lister and UFC fighter Brandon “The Truth” Vera were teaching the sub grappling classes. I earned my blue belt under Tyrone Glover, a former City Boxing trainer (Pacific Beach location), and two stripes (blue belt) at Gracie Barra under Marcelo Pereira
I trained at The Boxing Club in Carlsbad, California, under Nick Stefan and Joao ‘Jonny’ Faria.
I’m currently a Purple belt under Nick Stefan at Faction Martial Arts which is a Gracie Humaitá affiliate.

2007 Worlds
I’ve competed in both small and large tournaments over the years, ranging from small local tournaments such as the Carlson Gracie tournament, to larger national competitions such as Grapplers Quest in Las Vegas, the Pan American Championships, and the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Championships in Long Beach.
